Father's Day and Children's Museum

Grayson has been keeping Rogan busy. We celebrated Father's Day. Rogan and Grayson got Marc the USS Enterprise ship from the Star Trek Movie and action figures. Grayson and Marc played that most of the day! :) Grayson also painted a pictures for Grandpa and helped me make some banana bread for him. Today, Grandpa came over so we could take him out for lunch and give him his presents from all of us. Grayson loves his visits with Grandpa!

We went to Grandpa and Grandma's house last week for lunch and some fun in the sun. Grayson played in the sprinkler most of the afternoon there. Grandma made lunch for everyone. The night before was a bad one for Rogan. Some nights he does great and others are a battle still. Grayson was such a great sleeper so I am not use to Rogan not sleeping through the night every night at this time like Grayson did. Like they say, 'every baby is different'.

Tomorrow Rogan goes for his four month check up. I can't believe it! I am excited to hear how he is progressing but not for the shots. I will be sure to update everyone. We also took the boys for some pictures together the other week. I was surprised at how well everything went. I made the attempt all by myself and the boys were great!

Aunt Sarah came over yesterday to make a trip to the Children's Museum with us. We all had lots of fun! Grayson loves his museum trips. Rogan enjoys looking at everything. Aunt Sarah rode the carousel with Grayson. After lunch, we headed home, perfect timing because the museum was beginning to get crowded. Even though the weather has been so hot, we try to still have fun without taking Rogan out in the heat too much.

Splash pads, exersaucers and more....

Grayson packed a lunch with Daddy the other day and rode on the back of Daddy's bike to the park. The park over by us just opened along with the new splash pad. Grayson and Daddy went to try it out. Grayson really enjoys the splash pads. It has been hard for me to take him so far this season with little Rogan. Grayson is very fast and ALWAYS on the move. In other words, hard to catch up with while carrying baby Rogan. They played at he park and had their lunch. It was Grayson's first bike ride of the season. Marc and I were just saying, before too long, Rogan will need a seat.

Rogan has been enjoying being outside in is exersaucer. He has been exploring a lot of new toys. He has gotten even stronger and can pull his feet up and hold onto them. Rogan has also been enjoying his baths with his big brother. Grayson likes it too. He would rather take a bath with Rogan than shower with Daddy. That is a huge deal!!! Daddy is number one in Grayson's book. I'm his number one girl though!!! :)

Summer Fun with Family and Friends!!!

We have had a great week! We have been very busy with family visiting. On Monday, we went to The Children's Museum with Jack and Kriste. It was Rogan's first!! Wow!! Rogan was watching and observing everything. Grayson and Jack always have fun playing together! They are just best buds! Kriste is pregnant and will be due in December so we are looking forward to that! Jack and Grayson rode the Farris wheel, played with the dinos, watched the trains...basically hit all their favorite spots! Rogan did well also. I was pleasantly surprised the museum was not crowded!

Wednesday was Marc's 35th birthday. We made cheesecake for daddy and got him a basketball goal he can share with his little guys. I figured they could have lots of fun memories together with the basketball goal! :) We all went to Texas Road House for dinner...our favorite as you all know! Grandma came over that evening and we went went to a movie. We got to see Wolverine. For those of you who have not seen it... it was great!

Grandpa and Grandma came back from their vacation and brought Rogan and Grayson some neat gifts. Grayson got a 'fire ant' mask! He's pretty scary with it on. Grayson was excited to see Grandma! It has been an entire week. Thursday, we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house to visit for lunch. My Aunt Marsha and her boys, Wesley and Micha are here visiting from Tuscon. We were excited to see them!!! Also, my Aunt Vonnie and Uncle Dan are here from Florida!! We all had a wonderful time visiting. Everyone got see Rogan for the first time and see how big Grayson has gotten.

On Friday, we went to the Zoo with Uncle Dan and Aunt Vonnie. Another first for Rogan!!! All in one week. It was a perfect day for the Zoo. We got there early and beat the crowd. Rogan enjoyed watching all the animals. We had a nice picnic lunch by 'Dog n Suds'. Grayson got to spend some quality time with Great Uncle Dan and Great Aunt Vonnie. I very vividly remember them spending time with me when I was little. They were always so much fun!

Today, we are going to the camp grounds to celebrate my Uncle Noel's birthday and the one year anniversary of my Aunt Nan's transplant. It will be another fun filled family day wth the Lyons family. :)
