Look how big Rogan has gotten!

Rogan just went to his 6month appointment today. He is now in the 70th% in length and average for weight. He had a huge growth spurt. He is really into solids and eating quite a lot of them. He is our little piggy! His check up went very well! Although he did receive 4 shots, he was a great trooper! One of the shots was his flu shot. I was grateful the infant flu shot was in this early especially with Grayson starting junior preschool next week.

Yes, it is true.... Grayson will go to junior preschool this year on Tuesday and Thursday and he will have lunch bunch on Thursday. He really needs to stop growing. I don't want the days to fly by any quicker! I want to keep them young as long as I can. Grayson goes to meet his new teachers this Thursday. He is really looking forward to starting back.

Last Friday the boys and I went to the zoo. We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect! We left early enough to beat the crowd so the day was wonderful. Rogan's 2nd zoo trip. He was barely 3 months the first time we went. Grayson and Rogan got a new swing set also this past week. It is really nice, big , heavy, sturdy wood. Grandpa came over this weekend to help Marc put it together. Now it just needs weather treated. Grandpa and Grandma stayed for dinner. It was a nice visit. Grayson also went to Grandpa and Grandma's all by himself last week. That was a first! He was so excited and eager to go. He had so much fun and so much to do! The boys are waking up so need to run! :)

'We can take a ride on my big green tractor'

Grayson and Rogan ventured to the fair last week. Grayson loves the tractors. For those of you that are familiar with Jason Aldean...that is his newest song, 'Big Green Tractor' and Grayson just loves it! While at the fair, Grayson went running over to the John Deer area to try out everything he could possibly set on. It was the hot attraction for the little boys. Rogan enjoyed himself so much, he had to take a nap from all the excitement. Rogan's first fair experience was fun for us all!
Grayson will be celebrating his birthday this year by going to see the 'Imagination Movers'. That is one of his favorite shows. They are somewhat like the Wiggles but a bit more hip! :) The tickets went on sale Friday. Grayson will be setting in the 2nd row from the stage...how exciting. I'm even excited! The Mover's concert is at the Murat the day after his birthday. We tried to think of something he would really like. We knew it would be a bit more difficult to do something with all of his friends this year with Rogan being so small and dependant still. At least next year Rogan will be able to participate in all the birthday action.

I have to say, I am proud of my self. Saturday, I took the boys to the Children's Museum all by myself. We all did great! I wasn't sure how it would go juggling the two of them in such a large place like the museum but Grayson was a wonderful helper! He sure loves his little brother. As you can see in one of the photos taken, Grayson also has grown very fond of ice cream. Up until recently, he has not been a big ice cream eater b/c he thinks it is too cold.
The other day, we made reservations to go to the Smokey Mountains in early November. Grayson has been asking when we are going to go on a vacation again. I told him the other day while taking our morning walk we would be going to the Smokey Mountains for vacation, his reply was,"Mommy, I don't want to get burned." How funny...smoke means something is hot and he thought he was going to get burnt by the steam. Another funny thought by Grayson.
Our boy Grayson just won't stop growing. We had to buy more new shoes. He out grew his shoes again. At his age, they are supposed to slow down to at least every six months to a year but not my son. He is still every 3 months. The lady in Stride Rite told us that was very rare. Nice to know. Anyway, Rogan also got his first pair of shoes for the fall. They are too cute. It was a special moment for Rogan!:) Hope all of you are well and enjoying what is left of summer!

Martin Short..Eat your heart out!

Are these photos the funniest or what, I just had to share with all of you! Grayson likes to make his hair crazy after bath and or shower every night! He is just a silly little guy! Grayson is out with Marc today enjoying some Daddy time all by himself. :) He sure loves his Daddy. Grayson went to the movie the other day with Grandpa and Grandma and his cousin Ashley. They took him to see Ice Age. He sure enjoys being around Ashley and his Grandparents of course.

Grayson and Rogan went over to Jack's house this past week for a play date. It was very exciting for both of the boys! Rogan watched all the boys and girls playing together. Grayson met some new friends which is always nice! I have been enjoying Rogan sleeping better. I am finally able to have a little me time at the gym. It is hard to be motivated to work out when I am
literally exhausted and the only thing I wanted to do is sleep in my few alone moments. I am still very tired but have the energy to work out. The boys keep me busy but I wouldn't trade it! :) I enjoy water aerobics so I am doing that 2xs a week. Hopefully, my baby weight will come of quick. We shall see....? We have been walking still, Grayson walks Macie and I push Rogan. We all look forward to our morning and afternoon walks. We make our weekly rounds to the park also.

I have to say, I am looking forward to school starting so it will be less crowded when we go out. I know that sounds smug but it is hard taking your child to the park and having very large kids playing on all the toddler stuff. So needless to say, we are counting down the days to watch the school buses go passing by...Yea! :)
