Busy Boys

We have been doing lots and having fun. I took the boys to the Children's Museum last Friday. I must say, it was a little more busy than it usually is during the week but we had tons of fun. Grayson just loves the Dinosphere and Rogan loves the trains. We also love going to the top floor with the carousel. Grayson enjoys going through the tree house and all the other play houses up there.
I also had a date with Grayson last Sunday. I took him to see 'The Princess and the Frog'. It was wonderful. I would have to say it is the best Disney movie we have seem in a while. For those of you that have boys like I do, the movie is not just for girls. Afterwards, we went out for lunch. It is always special spending time with my big boy. I don't get a lot of alone time with him any more.
We also met up with some friends and had play group. It was so nice to see everyone. All of the kids are getting so big! Grayson was excited to see all his friends. Rogan was happy to see different faces and watch everyone. He is my little people watcher.
We also made a stop over to Palmer and Lilly's house for pizza and fun. We have missed them so. It was great to visit. We will be hosting play date next month with 'The Gang' for lunch and fun along with some cake and ice cream to celebrate my baby turning one!
Today we are taking Rogan to have his one year photo taken. I bought a small smash cake for him to devour in the photos. I can't wait! I know they will be great. Rogan opened one of his gifts this morning from Hillary and Aaron. It was perfect, a 'first birthday' hat! He will wear it in his pictures today! :) Ryan, Lauren and baby Lily came over last evening for fun and dinner and brought some gifts for Rogan. The rest will wait until his actual birthday. Grayson loves having another baby in the house. He was good with little Lily. Rogan couldn't take his eyes off of her!
Funny thought...Grayson told me the other morning I looked like Barbie. Where he got that, I'm not sure but it certainly was cute! It made my day! He said my hair looked funny b/c I had it all pulled up and separated while I was blow drying it.
Well, as some of you may know, Marc has been offered the opportunity to move to South Carolina to expand the market and over see it while it grows. It is a huge decision so could all of you please keep us in your prayers! We will keep you all posted on the final decision. We would be moving around May. We shall see where the Lord takes us. Financially it would be nice too but money is not the most important thing as wee know very well. I support Marc since he is the one that will be putting in all the hard work but living in Charleston and 1 hour form the beech, sure sounds great to me!!!

We did it!!! Super Mommy!!!

I am happy to say, it is true, we made it 4 entire days without Daddy and without any help! I was scared at first to see what would lie ahead in the days to come but it really wasn't bad. Military wives do it all the time... I can do this! It seems every time Marc goes out of town, some type of catastrophe happens around here. The boys were great and my Grayson was such a big boy! Rogan unfortunately, got a cold which means ear infection that follows shortly after the initial cold. I took the boys to the doctor by myself thinking this was going to be an adventure and it went perfect. I could not have asked for a better visit. Grayson was so well mannered and behaved. I was so proud of him. Rogan seems to be following in Grayson's footsteps with the cold equaling ear infection. That is a huge reason we had steered clear of any big family gatherings this season. If I can help keep Rogan from catching all the viruses that are going around right now, I will. Grayson has super immunity now it seems. I am relieved, but as I am told from his pediatrician that all will change when he enters the school system. Not only was I Super Mommy last week, I also had to shovel snow the day we had a huge amount dumped on us. Thank goodness Marc got home that evening to dig us out again. Once was enough for me. I was so happy to see him and so were the boys.

Marc had a great trip to South Carolina. The company is expanded a great deal in that area. Who knows...that may be our home in the near future. I could handle that! :) I am in extreme denial. I got Grayson's enrollment papers for the next school year for preschool and began to cry. Yes, I am the one! When taking 9 out of ten mom's who can't wait for their children to be in school, I am the one that doesn't want them to go or get any older. This next year will be my last year with Grayson before he attends every day. The thought of it makes me sick to my stomach. I have a couple of girlfriends who have gone through the same thing and one who is about to that share the same feelings with me. I will have a much harder time than my Grayson.

Sunday, Marc gifted me a Mommy Day! It was wonderful. I went shopping...for myself for once and then to a movie. I saw Avitar and it was wonderful. and Yes.. I am a science fiction nerd. I really needed that refresher! We all do. Marc and I also had a date night a few weeks ago when we went to see Sherlock Holmes. It was really good also. Marc and I love to see movies when we get a chance. We were huge movie goers before we had the boys.

I am sadden too that my baby Rogan will be ONE!!!!! next month! We have already began tossing around ideas of what were are going to do! Why must it go by so fast as an adult and days last forever when your a child! On a positive note, I am just thankful both my boys are happy and healthy! Rogan wants to walk so badly. He pushes his little hind end up in the air as high as he can. It is the cutest. Grayson is off swimming at the YMCA with his daddy and I just put my baby to bed, where I am headed....

Final Days until the New Year

Christmas was a special day for our Grayson and Rogan. Santa brought Grayson a bike and some new Imaginex toys. Rogan got a Red Buggy/Car he can sit in while being pushed and a interactive farm by Fisher Price. It is really cute! Grayson put reindeer food out on the lawn before going to bed and put out a plate of cookies. We made more sugar cookies earlier that day just for Santa! Rogan and Grayson got their pictures taken in front of the tree in their matching Pj's. I just love my boys!!! That Santa was very good to all of us!

Christmas morning, we had yummy biscuits and gravy...another tradition. Later that afternoon, we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma's to see what kind of presents Santa had left there. Grandma and Grandpa were so excited to see the boys. They had so many presents under their tree, Grayson was such a great present passer outer this year. He was so patient and excited for everyone to open their gifts. Grandpa made beef brisket, it was wonderful and Grandma made all the other sides to go along with it. I was so excited to have something other than the traditional ham or turkey...etc. It was a fun celebration!
We are all very grateful for this year and all the good that has come of it even through all the hard moments too. Everything always seems to work itself out and seem even better than before. This week Marc will be gone for four days for work in South Carolina. Thank goodness for Grandma, she is coming over to help us out on the days when Grayson has to go to school since Daddy is the one that usually takes him. At least I won't have to run Rogan in and out of the house on those two days with drop off and pick up for Grayson. We will make it through...I think? But we sure will miss him. He is such a huge help.
