Rogan had his one year appointment on Monday and all is looking great. He now weighs 21 lbs. He has actually gone down in wight since he has become so mobile, which is amazing to me because he eats more than I do most times and I too enjoy eating! I am honestly amazed at how much that boy can eat. Grayson went with us to the appointment and I must say, he was pretty good during the visit. My big boy Grayson, he is such the helper and good listener for the most part. Rogan got a couple of vaccinations and had a slight fever the day following but is doing wonderful now. Rogan got an 'A' on his visit for accomplishments at his age, clapping, words he says and sounds and all that good stuff. Grayson has been introducing Rogan to the guitar as you can see from the photos. Some day, they may be 'The Mathias Brother's Band'. It could happen, they both love music! Grayson is great with lyrics.
If the doctor's visit wasn't enough for Rogan, he also went to his first dental appointment! We had to reschedule the last one due to the weather. I was so proud of Grayson. He sat in the chair like a big boy and had a great time. He even got his first films taken of his teeth. Rogan on the other hand was not happy what so ever to be at the appointment once he had to lay back in mine and Dr. Kugar's lap. He did a lot of screaming which is VERY common at his age. I remember those days with Grayson also. Rogan's teeth look great. Rogan is also flossing already like his big brother Grayson.
I was thinking to myself the other day, most children are scared of the closet, not our Grayson. When we go in his room in the morning and after nap, we are sure to find him hiding out in his closet. He loves it. I sure did not when I was his age. Grayson also went through his library and handed some books down to Rogan. He was very excited to pass his books to his baby brother. Rogan and Grayson have been enjoying Rogan's new toys from his birthday.
To let you all know, for now, we will continue to be here in Indiana. Qdoba decided not to move any one at this point but to have one of the Area Director's go to South Carolina once a month for a week. I am glad that is not Marc. I would rather live there than have him gone that often. That would be harder for our family. Marc and I were talking the other evening and he is really happy with his job right now and really doesn't want that to change. That makes me happy because doing some thing your truly enjoy is hard to find these days. So the Mathias' will continue to stay Indiana at this point. I have to say, I too am very pleased with Marc's job. He doesn't leave until 9:00 am and is usually home by 5:00 unless it is meeting week and they treat him great. He enjoys the people he works with. I am just glad to be at home raising my beautiful boys!
