Look who's got glasses....GRAYSON!!!!

Yes, I took Grayson to his first eye exam last week and we discovered that he needed glasses. We were so excited to get them this week. He picked out really stylish ones. They are Nike in dark blue...too cool. He is amazed at how much clearer he can see. He has been wanting to see 'Toy Story' but we wanted to wait until his glasses came in. We also took Rogan this week. He is a bit far sighted in one eye but the doctor said it was not a reason to wear glasses at this time at such a early age.He said that can change in the next few years. He will go back when he is three for another evaluation. Grayson sure does look sharp in his glasses, as you all can see. He reminds me of Aunt Sarah!! :)

Grandma came over on Monday and we went to the library, lunch and to Forest Park. I just love that park. Grayson rode the carousel with Grandma and then Grandma bought the boys a snow cone. It was Rogan's first one and boy did he ever love it and Grayson too!

Summer Kick Off

Is summer here or what!!! Hotter than ever it seems. We have been enjoying the sun along with the rain. June is always such a busy month for us. My birthday and Marc's is that month and Father's Day. Grayson has been to several summer birthday parties for his friends, one was hosted by Miss Cupcake. It was really cute! We just had family in from Tuscon and Utah. It was so much fun getting together with everyone. Grayson was able to meet his cousin from Utah for the first time, Lucas who is Grayson's age. They had a play date together while Lucas was here at The Children's Museum. Also my cousin, Wesley just graduated from high school, he is also from Tuscon. We all celebrated his graduation while they were home in Indiana. There is always lots of fun to be had when The Lyons crew get together! :) Lots of fun, wine and good spirits.

Rogan and Grayson have been busy swimming and going to the museum and Conner Prairie. They also have been enjoying their trips to the library. We have been doing the summer book reading club. It is fun to read as we always do and then they get to pick out a prize. Grayson loves his bike still and playing out side. He has also become adventuresome in the water. He loves to jump in and out and go under...wow!!! He just keeps getting bigger right before my eyes. He asked me the other day, "Mommy, when am I going to kindergarten?" I am happy he loves school so much but not looking forward to that day. At least we have another year before that stage.

The boys had a great time on Father's Day. We spent it at Grandpa and Grandma's house. It was a wonderful time, good food and lots of laughter! We are gearing up for the 4th at my parents house. Marc and I are also getting ready to celebrate our 10 year anniversary on July 8th! Wow!!We have also had the pleasure of attending a few concerts this summer, Brad Paisley and Tim McGraw. These past few days have been just perfect, not too humid and not too hot as I say that, tomorrow is going to be a hot one! :) but that is what summer is all about. My Rogan or as we like to call him, 'Baby Tornado' has such attitude! I have never seen such personality and feisty! He loves pulling all the pillows off the couch and diving onto them. He thinks he can do ANY thing big brother Grayson does! He lets me know what books he wants to read and when he is done eating, either move it or sweep it all off the floor! He loves to give hugs on his time and blow kisses. He even likes to try and wrestle his brother. It is amazing how much he has changed from this time last year! They are both all boy that is certain. Their new thing is sweeping the garage, they think it is the greatest. I just stand back and watch them and laugh to myself! :) All I can say is....I Love My Boys!
