We have added an exciting trip to the fair for our summer fun! We always make a summer end with the state fair. We met my parent's there on Friday. We all had the best time. We took the boys to the 'Hands on ' fun center where they were able to go through the steps of working on a farm. The boys loved it. They were able to plant vegetable seeds and watch then grow, pick apples and harvest food and milk the cow! At the end, they got to pick out a prize with the money from their crops! It was lots of fun! Grayson also took an elephant ride with me! It was kind of wobbly but fun! After our adventure, we headed over to 'The Dairy Barn' for dinner...wonderful food!!!! Best grilled cheese hands down! We also visited animals and checked out some other booths and then home for bed for our exhausted boys, they had already been swimming that day also. What a busy, fun day!
The boys and I also took a trip to Connor Prairie on one of the cooler days. We had so much fun. The boys just love it there! They love petting the animals. Rogan was in love with this calf, I didn't think he would ever leave it alone. He is such an animal lover! Grayson loves running and I do mean running around the town to all the different buildings and going through the rooms! They have a great ' discovery play area' both boys enjoy. They also get to milk the cow in there and play in the garden.
Aunt Sarah came over the other day to swim with us. The boys love their swimming. They are getting so tan. Grandma has been over to swim with us also. In fact, she will be here Tuesday to swim again. Grayson has been working really hard with his letters and sounds and spelling, we are so proud of him. Rogan has been very interested in the whole potty and how it works and what to do on it. He wants to sit on it and enjoys making loud grunting sounds! He even tries to wipe! It is too cute! He loves that he is able to climb onto 'big brother' Grayson's high bed! At nap time, they love to roll all around the bed together when they are telling one another good night. It melts my heart watching them. Rogan also has a new game where he thinks he has disappeared when he covers his eyes. We say...."Where is Rogan?" and he just laughs. We just made reservations for the smokey mountains in September so we are really looking forward to our trip! Our resort has a huge indoor water park. We can't wait to return! We also signed Grayson up for fall swim lessons. He is such a good swimmer so we want to keep him right on track. We are thinking about t-ball. He loves hitting the baseball so we may do that as long as it doesn't interfere with swimming. Also, we don't want him doing too many things at once.
We are ready for school to begin for all the kids around here so every thing won't be so crowded when we venture out. We have been anxiously awaiting their return so we can head over to The Children's Museum. The last time we went, we left b/c it was so crowded, that is one of the nice things about having our membership! We have missed the museum so I am sure we will head over there this week or next!! Yea!
