This weekend we celebrated Rogan's 2nd Birthday. He had so much fun. He knew that day, something was different. I had asked Rogan if he was going to celebrate his birthday that morning and his reply was, "Cake!" Before everyone arrived, Rogan was bouncing all over the place with excitement! Grayson was excited for Rogan's big day too! He also could not wait for our guests to arrive. We decorated the downstairs in Elmo fashion! Rogan's cake was so cute! It was an Elmo face made out of cupcakes! We had a yummy Mexican dinner that I put together. After visiting for a bit, Rogan decided it was time for cake and there was no stopping this boy! Once we all sang Happy Birthday, Rogan blew out the candle again and again! He loved it and if that wasn't enough excitement, he decided to smash his face into the cake!!! It was hilarious! I could not believe my eyes! We all laughed so hard! Rogan had a wonderful time visiting with everyone and sharing dinner and birthday cake! He also got lots of fun gifts he and Grayson have been enjoying putting together today.
Last week we took Rogan to 'Cookie Cutters' to get a hair cut. I wasn't sure what to expect but Rogan was thrilled. He picked out the video he wanted to wanted to watch which was Elmo, who would have guessed. Next Rogan picked out his car,a red one to be exact and was ready to hop right in. He also enjoyed a sucker while getting a trim. I was so happy Rogan let the lady cut his hair. He even watched her cut it. After Rogan's hair was finished, him and Grayson went in the play room and played on the pirate ship for a bit! Success!!! We managed to find a place Rogan enjoyed getting a hair cut. Just in time for his 2yr pictures.
This weekend Grayson had soccer also. He got his pictures taken and was given his jersey. He looked so cut out there playing. His couches seem great with all the kids. Grayson says he has been enjoying playing but he says he also likes basketball. Grayson does good at dribbling around the cones. I am not sure I could do that as well as he does. It was hard for all the kids to grasp the concept of not using their hands at first but they seem to have it down after just one week. Next weekend, Grayson has his first game, can't wait. Grayson did so well at Rogan's birthday party. He knew it was Rogan's big day and let him shine in the birthday light! He is such a big boy and big helper with the exception of smashing Aunt Sarah in the face a few times with the balloons! :) Grayson als enjoyed laying with his Aunt Shelby. I think she enjoyed it as much as Grayson did.
We are getting ready for the big day of love. Our Rogan was almost a 'Valentines Baby'. Marc will be taking Wednesday off to celebrate his actual birthday. We plan on taking Rogan to 'The Children's Museum' that morning while Grayson is at school and then giving Rogan our presents later that day when Grayson is home. Happy Valentines day to everyone. Marc and I will be enjoying crab legs...yummy yum! :)
