Easter was nice this year. It turned out to be a beautiful day, sunny and warm. I made Easter dinner for Marc's dad and sister Shelby. They came and spent the day with our family after church. Rogan had to show Grandpa Mathias his light saber skills using his Mickey saber. He can be a bit scary with his fierce moves! Just ask Grandpa! Rogan recently began playing soccer. He loves it and is really good! Marc is his coach. Rogan wouldn't have it any other way! I have enjoyed cheering them on during game times and watching them practice. Grayson began flag football two weeks ago and yes Super Dad, Marc is Grayson's coach too. Hmmm... thinking Marc should be coach/Daddy of the year! As most parents do, we try and get involved as much as we can! Enjoying and soaking up each moment. Grayson's favorite sport to play has become flag football. He's got an arm on him! Some of his passes are so forceful, they hurt my hand when I catch them!
It's hard to believe we will have a third grader here in about four more days and a kindergartener! Wow!!! Rogan had his Pre-School graduation the other evening! It was such a wonderful ceremony! We are so proud of him! I was fine that evening because we had been so busy that day with pre-school, Grayson's school picnic, and soccer right before the ceremony, that I was just happy to be setting down. Well, needless to say, the tears came flowing the next day reflecting on the fact that this season of life is coming to an end! We've had so many wonderful memories at Fishers United Methodist Church Pre-school. I am so grateful that both are boys were a part of such an amazing program. They both were showered with so much love from their teachers and they showered our boys with their love for learning! It makes me sad but also filled with joy just reflecting over the past year! Rogan has grown so much this past year! He's spelling words and sounding them out, so confident and so mature for his age at times. He's made so many wonderful friends and has such a heart for learning! He loves school thanks to his experiences and love from his teachers! We will miss everyone and appreciate every moment their teachers spent with them.
Grayson will be finished with school in four more days, and yes again he's had a wonderful school year and an amazing teacher. I have enjoyed being a volunteer every other week in his class. I'm thankful to be able to play such a large roll in classroom. I love getting to know the students and being a helping hand to his teacher. She is amazing too. Thank goodness for the heart of a teacher.
Well, we are enjoying this calm Memorial Holiday to take a deep breath and enjoy the calmness! The boys can't wait to head to Florida and go to' The Magic Kingdom'. We will be staying at Disney's Boardwalk Resort! Our plane leaves June 7th Saturday afternoon. We can't wait to experience Star Wars weekends at 'The Studios'. We will be having breakfast with all the Star Wars characters! Everyone knows our boys are huge Star Wars fans!
Here shortly we will be celebrating Marc's 40th birthday! Are we really 40 now??? Where does time go. Well, we hope he has a fun birthday and fun memories we will all share. Happy Summer and let the smell of sunscreen, summer cookouts, fun in the pool and water parks and long days of warmth and relaxation begin!
